This form is identical to the #860 NEARLY ME BASIC® Modified Triangle but with the extra lightweight "whipped" silicone gel. The #865 is 35% lighter than the #860.
The NEARLY ME BASIC® Line of breast forms are an economical option with shallower profiles and an extra-durable outer film.
“Modified” means that the back of the form has been slightly scooped out, and is concave so that the forms are lighter and fit over more remaining tissue. Modified forms are not as thick in the center as “Full” forms. They are shallower, but designed to stay up-right in a bra.
“Whipped” silicone gel forms are very popular because they are lighter, but the decision to wear a lighter form should be considered carefully. Consult your Certified Mastectomy Fitter to make sure your bra and breast form fit correctly if you feel that your breast form is too heavy.
The triangle shape is symmetrical, so each form can fit either side of the body. Triangles fit most women well.
